About these terms

By creating an account or using SoInvited, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. These terms are governed by Irish law.

What SoInvited provides

SoInvited is a wedding platform. You use it to create a personalised wedding website with matching stationery, manage your guest list and collect RSVPs, and let your guests upload and share photos from your day. Your guests access your site via a unique URL.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and should not share it with others
• One account per couple
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account

Your responsibilities as a couple

When you add guest information to SoInvited, you take on an important responsibility:

• You are the data controller for any guest data you enter (names, emails, addresses, dietary requirements, etc.)
• You are responsible for having a lawful basis to store your guests’ personal data
• You should inform your guests that their data is stored on SoInvited and direct them to our Privacy Policy
• You must not upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content

Content ownership

You retain full ownership of everything you upload. Your photos, text, guest lists, and all other content remain yours.

We do not use your content for AI training, advertising, or any purpose beyond operating the service. You grant us a limited licence to host, display, and serve your content solely to provide the service. This licence ends when you delete your content or account.

AI features

SoInvited uses AI to auto-tag guest photos with descriptive labels and to personalise wedding site content during onboarding.

What AI does

• Analyses photo content to identify scenes and events (“ceremony”, “outdoor”)
• Generates personalised site text from details you provide during onboarding

What AI does not do

• We do not use facial recognition
• We do not identify specific individuals in photos
• We do not build profiles of guests based on their photos

Your content is not used for AI training

Photos and content processed by our AI provider are analysed in real-time and immediately discarded. They are never stored by the AI provider or used to train or improve AI models. This applies to all content, both yours and your guests’.

Controls

AI photo tagging is enabled by default for all wedding sites. If you would like to disable AI tagging for your site, contact us at hello@soinvited.com. You can also request removal of any AI-generated tags by contacting us.

AI-assisted site personalisation is optional and only runs during onboarding when you choose to use it. You can always edit or replace any AI-generated content on your site.

Guest photo uploads

Guests can upload photos to your wedding site. As the couple, you are the data controller for guest-uploaded photos. You are responsible for informing your guests that:

• Their photos will be stored on SoInvited’s servers in the EU
• Photos are automatically tagged using AI. AI tagging identifies scenes and events only; no facial recognition is used
• Other guests and the couple can view uploaded photos

SoInvited acts as the data processor for guest photos. See the Data Processing Agreement below for full details.

Payments, subscriptions, and your right to cancel

Payments are processed by Stripe. Pricing is displayed before purchase.

Right of withdrawal

Under EU law, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from your purchase. When you begin using a paid feature, we will ask for your express consent to start the service immediately and your acknowledgement that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service begins. If you have not used the paid service, you may withdraw within 14 days for a full refund.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your paid features remain active until the end of your current billing period.

When a subscription ends

Your wedding site remains accessible to guests on the free tier. Paid features are disabled.

Data Processing Agreement

This section applies where the couple is the data controller and SoInvited is the data processor for guest data.

Processing scope

We process guest data solely on your instructions and only to provide the SoInvited service. This includes storing guest information, serving it on your wedding site, sending emails on your behalf, and AI auto-tagging of guest photos.

AI processing of guest photos

Guest photos are sent to our AI sub-processor (Anthropic, via Vercel AI Gateway) for real-time scene analysis. Photos are not stored by the AI provider after processing (zero data retention). No facial recognition or biometric processing is performed.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect guest data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and regular backups.

Breach notification

We will notify you without undue delay and within 72 hours of becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting guest data.

Data deletion

Upon account deletion, all guest data is deleted within 30 days.

Availability and support

We aim to keep SoInvited available at all times, but we don’t guarantee 100% uptime. We may occasionally need to take the service offline for maintenance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms, with notice where possible. After termination, your data is handled per the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We will notify you by email at least 30 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use of SoInvited after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be resolved in the Irish courts. This does not affect your rights under EU consumer protection law.
